Jowai Polytechnic through Costume Design & Garment Technology Department strives to be a pioneer in envisioning and evolving fashion business in the state. It has set academic standards by providing creative and technically competent professional. Costume Design & Garment Technology provides a platform for fashion education, research and training. The Department was started for developing professional for taking up leadership and entrepreneurial positions in fashion & Garment business in emerging scenario. 

The Three Year Diploma in CD&GT is design to train students to excel in the core garment manufacturing technology. It imparts basic inputs in areas of design and management with main emphasis on technology. It prepares students with best practices in Apparel Manufacturing coupled with understanding and application of information technology and CADD. This course has a practical and hands on approach to machinery & equipment application.
